The first step is to think very clearly about what is causing your low mood or higher than normal levels of anger, anxiety or stress.


Sometimes a particular event or  set of circumstances has caused your change in mood or stress. Of course we will look at this and how you can think or feel better. However often we also need to reduce those initial stressful feelings and sometimes your blood pressure too.


When we feel calmer or more grounded, we can then make better decisions. A calmer mind is a more balanced and 'level-headed' place to be. Sometimes you need some relaxation ‘first aid’. Hypnotherapy and other tools I use, can create very deep relaxation. Hypnotherapy in particular is very good for decreasing levels of stress, raising mood and increasing calm

The causes of stress, anxiety or low mood

The main work we will do together is examining your relationship with stress, anger or anxiety. We will look at the thoughts and feelings you are having. This may involve looking at patterns you fall into when at work or in relationships. You will discover how to step back and feel less attachment to outcomes, people or situations.


I help by talking through your stresses or challenges. I may use hypnotherapy, visualisations or other expert exercises to help you reduce high levels of stress or emotions.

Changing how your respond to feelings

We all have ways that we react to people or events. Sometimes we get stuck and it feels like no matter what we do, we don’t get the results or relationships we really want.


Together we will look at how you navigate those situations that ‘raise your blood pressure’ or repeatedly result in unpleasant, stressful or even distressing consequences.


You may feel slightly trapped or low by your situation. Together we will work to find a way for you to feel calm, freer and more resilience about what has been overwhelming you or dragging you down.
