What is a Breakthrough Session?
Either an intensive 4-hour session or a six hour Breakthrough Day session. A one to one workshop for people who want to make significant progress in a short time. It is an opportunity to take time, not feel rushed and give yourself space to look at challenges at your own pace. Often in a regular session of 50 minutes, time is limited. Frequently there can be a feeling that a conversation has begun, but too quickly time is up and the momentum is interrupted.
A breakthrough session isn’t actually always about a life changing ‘breakthrough’ per say (though I hope I can be). It is more about having the freedom and time to really look at what is holding you back and dedicating time to make really positive changes

What Can I Expect from a Breakthrough Day?
Whether you wish to come for a four hour breakthrough session or a six hour breakthrough day, you will first fill in a background questionnaire. I am also happy to talk briefly by phone to answer any questions you may have about the day.
Once you have booked and paid for your day. I will send you more information and this will include some questions so we can ensure the day is as beneficial as possible. You may want to use the day to work on something concrete such as an addiction or habit. You might want it as a more open enquiry into your life direction or career goals. There’s really no restriction on what you can choose to work on.
The day itself
Usually a breakthrough session is held at my office in King’s Cross. We can also meet online and I am open to a different location and we can discuss this before you book.
The structure of your programme may vary. Usually the first hour involves talking through your challenges and digging deeper. Sometimes we might jump directly to hypnotherapy or other exercises.
I do not provide lunch or refreshments. However there is a kitchen with tea and coffee and water available. The kitchen area has a fridge to store snacks or lunch. You can relax and eat there too. There are many shops and supermarkets close by from which to buy food.

When you book a six hour breakthrough day, this would usually include short breaks and a 30 minute lunch break. The format is flexible and would be created together with you, the client.

It is a packed four or six hours, but with some breaks. We can decide ahead of time when these breaks will be. Usually a four hour session would include one or two breaks. When you book a six hour breakthrough day, this would usually include short breaks and a 30 minute lunch break. The format is flexible and would be created together with you, the client.
We all want that quick fix or shortcut. A breakthrough day can be that for some, but not for everyone. I wouldn’t go into one with the expectation that all your problems will be solved. However with this dedicated time, you can expect to do more work on your issues.
This may actually feel quite intense. When we work hard on ourselves it can be uplifting and wonderful but also it may be a day of challenging your thoughts, beliefs and perspectives. You will be working hard during our time together. This isn’t about sitting back but throwing yourself into facing your challenges head on. Sometimes this can a challenging experience.
You can book a standalone breakthrough session or use it to jump start your progress and book further individual sessions. You can also come for a some individual sessions and then book a breakthrough day to go deeper with challenges you have already begun to work on.
The day is a one off and there isn’t usually a follow up. Though many people do choose to book follow up sessions.
My breakthrough sessions are for individuals and are not for couples work or for resolving conflicts. I do however run groups so a four hour or six hour session could be run for a work team or group.
Your breakthrough session is held at my office in King’s Cross. We can also meet online or at a location of your choice. A location of your choice will need to be agreed upon and I may charge for my travel time.
Yes hypnotherapy (hypnosis) is very safe. Hypnotherapy is simply about guiding you into a relaxing trance-like state. In fact, when you think about it you are often in a similar trance state on a daily basis. Just think of times you have been sleepy but not quite asleep yet, engrossed in focused concentration, been preoccupied daydreaming or found your mind wandering during a conversation or class. These are all examples of being in a type of trance, very similar to a hypnotherapy (hypnosis) trace state. The difference is that you were not guided into the trance by a therapist.
I always strongly recommend that you are alert before coming for your session. This means having had a good night’s sleep the previous evening. I cannot perform hypnotherapy if you have taken any drugs or drunk alcohol during the previous few hours. It would not be safe to do so.
Also, as much as it is possible for you to do so, it is advisable to allow also an extra few minutes after your hypnotherapy session before your next appointment. This will ensure your mind is not preoccupied during your session, thinking about what will happen later. To mention again that it is also not recommended to consume alcohol or use recreation drugs before your session.

Jason has over 12 years experience seeing clients from all walks of life in London. As well as being a hypnotherapist in London, Jason works as an online therapist. Sessions are available to help you, no matter where you are located.
Jason has a background in teaching, mentoring and youth work. Jason volunteered and worked for three of London’s hospices. Jason managed teams providing informal counselling for patients and family members towards the end of life and informal bereavement support. As well as seeing patients, Jason provided pastoral support for hospice staff members, enabling them to gain resilience and avoid burn out.
